GIVING IS BEAUTIFUL!

I’m proud to join photographers from all over the globe in the photographic effort, Giving is Awesome. We’re just a bunch of photographers giving back to our communities just for the sake of giving. †No strings attached. I know that others are struggling and I just want to provide deserving individuals and families with cherished heirlooms. So…here’s where I need your help.


You know someone. You know someone who has experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience custom photography–whether it’s prints for Grandma, an album to keep at home, or a framed family portrait, it’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winning family receives a mini-session (valued at $75) and $75 print credit. No strings attached, promise.

The Rules:

■You cannot nominate yourself, and the person you are nominating must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. There is a limit of two nominations per person.

■The nominee must reside within a 30-mile radius of Cedar Falls, IA, or be willing to travel here for the portrait session. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my custom photography.

■I will need your contact information and a way to get in touch with the person you’re nominating

■You must e-mail me the full story by January 5th, 2010. Please submit entries to elementportraits@cfu.net

■The winning family will be announced on January 15, 2010.

Nominating party receives:

■Complimentary portrait mini-session with me, which includes a 30-45 minute session with up to four subjects (valued at $50)

■Professional formatting of your images

■A password-protected gallery of 15-20 proofs

■A $75 credit towards a print or product order

Winning party receives:

■Complimentary family portrait session with me, which includes a 60-90 minute session with up to four subjects (valued at $75)

■Professional formatting of their images

■A password-protected gallery of 50-75 proofs

■Custom 8x8 softcover book featuring their favorite images from the session (valued at $265)

■A $125 credit towards a print or product order
