To my beautiful 18 year old daughter and anyone else who is going to be graduating from High School this summer...getting ready to leave our home this summer to go off to college -

There is a time and a place for everything...and I hope that you will heed these words of wisdom. Take them to heart. Grow into the beautiful woman/people that you are.

Grow your goals. Finish childhood and move on to being an adult. Your time is SO limited, so dont waste your life living someone elses ideals. Dont be trapped by their expectations, because then you will be stuck with the results of those values. Dont let the noise of other people's expectations and opinions drown out the sound of your inner voice, and MOST important have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they some how already know what you truly want to become, everything else is just secondary.

A boy and his dog!

I have photographed Zander and his brother Zack several times in the past couple of years, but I think this might have been the most heart warming session with these children. This time, I just photographed Zander because his dog has cancer. This a dog that has been with them since the boys were babies and Zander loves his dog! We wanted to capture the sweetness and relationship with a Boy and his dog before the dog passes - Memories...whay not capture them on film?

I puffy heart LOVE these children. Check out kind and loving to eachother, and SO remind me of when my Michael and Victoria were their ages. They were so kind to eachother. Such good friends.......and now...well, they are teenagers...so Shantel, enjoy this peace while you can!

This is my daughter Victoria. She is a 2010 senior this year...ahh the memories we have made together andthe new ones that she will forge for the future...its kind of bitter sweet. We are doing a two part series of her images because she just got her hair colored blond! (Thanks to Jill at Beau Monde Salon on 4th Street in Waterloo.) So we will be doing some more images - but really, how do I top these georgous images? So much fun! Love the boots - BTW, they are mine! lol...she is always stealing clothes out of my closet -

SO CUTE! love this smile! we tried despritly to get the two kids together...and it just wasnt happening! I do love the expressions on both of these beautiful babies! Thanks for bringing them in!

Heidi and Dan

I found quite a good friend in Heidi. We have alot of the same interests - HORSES and our new love of Edward Cullen...yes, Heidi is right, a person HAS to read the TWILIGHT series and make their own Edward! My Edward looks nothing like the movie Edward - <3

Dan is another handsome face that is going on the wall at Cedar Valley Orthodontics in Cedar Falls. If you are in need of braces, go see Dr. Holahan. He has done a beautiful job getting my teeth straight in record breaking time - as well as allowing me to photograph the beautiful and handsome kids that come through his door~
